Thanks to all who sold tickets for the raffle. A special thanks to Martin Costello , who raised €90, and to Mick Greene, Jason Doyle, Ross Kelly, Glen Burke, Fintan Grace, Jose Vargas and Derek Keane all of whom raised €50 or more. Sky blue heroes all.

Must be worth at least vote in Clubman of the year!

December Fantasy race hots up

Filed under: General news, Over 35 team, Saturday LSL team, Sunday LSL team by: Paul McGowan

Overall leader Ryan Burke heads the posse so far for December but there are quite a number within 15 points of him for the December €50 prize. (You must have paid annuals in full to qualify!).
Chopper, Ger, Cathal, Frank, Breener(!), Deggsy, Hano and Father Ted Crilley are all in the mix.
Roll on the decisive Christmas fixtures…..

A Good night out….

Thanks to all who supported the raffle, and to those who donated prizes and a big thanks to Frank , Derek and Andy (Lord Lucan is on day release, Frank paid the bail money!) for running the raffle itself.

On the night itself, many were wondering why Shane brought us to a gay club – will it be the George next year ? There was an early scare when Hano almost missed the platters.

Among the older denizens Rory came alive when they played a couple of early 80s tracks.

Condtions were treacherous (mainly when Ross produced the shots) and unfortunately there were a number of injuries picked up. Paul K pulled his hamstring and was carried off the field of play , while Keith appeared to suffer from concussion. The Bolgers limped in together. Good to see Mark after his accident, and Neill was suffering after Ross’s hatchet job at training.

We will draw a veil over events during the rest of the evening, suffice to say a good time was had by all, and Tony Kav is not going back till they replenish the Guinness supplies, severely depleted on the night.

And the lucky winners were…..

Winners (Seller)

1- Donal Breen (Fintan Grace)
2- Niamh Callan (Greg Callan)

4 Rachel Burke (Glen Burke)

December cash chase under way

Filed under: General news, Over 35 team, Saturday LSL team, Sunday LSL team by: Paul McGowan

With no footie or training due to weather all concentration turns to pursuit of prizes in December.

Only 4 remain in the Last Man Standing – all survived the weekend – Frank, Ross, Shane and Ian. A prize of €150 awaits the victor…

The €50 prize for Fantasy Football (for December) has started with a close leading pack including season leader Ryan Burke with well known shark Graham Breen lurking close behind. At the other end its a Scousefest. The Tasty Toffees (Mick Greene) languish in bottom place with Liverpool’s win lifting Seamus McCahill (temporarily?) out of the basement.
